The Foundation Stage
Our curriculum planning and the layout of the nursery and equipment allows the children of Fledgelings to learn through play (as this is the activity in which children learn most), whilst working towards the Foundation Stage's early learning goals.
The Foundation Stage consists of six areas of learning, which aim to develop each child from the age of three, through Pre-School and continue into their reception year at primary school, through a series of stepping stones leading to the early learning goals.
Each area of learning is broken down into the following aspects:
